UK Status Resident. Common Montgomeryshire Status A rare species most recently recorded in 2014 at Newtown but prior to that not since 1999 at Ola-Lluest upper field in the north of the county. Wingspan : M & F, 20-22mm. Confusion species None. |

  Habitat Broadleaf woodland especially mature hazel. Foodplant Hazel, hornbeam, birch and wild rose. Lifestage data Overwinters as a pupa in the plant debris. Larva late July-September. |
